Needham’s The Ellie Fund Harnesses the Power of the Incredible Hulk, Wins Online Fundraising Competition by Evan Allen
Needham-based charity The Ellie Fund Hulksmashed its way to victory this month in a 24-hour online fundraising competition called Twive and Receive, raising $53,089 and beating 161 other nonprofits across the country in the race to raise the most money.
The Ellie Fund narrowly beat out the Minneapolis-based Animal Humane Society, fueling its supporters’ fire with an image of The Incredible Hulk smashing kittens.
Twive and Receive was created by Razoo, a social fundraising platform for individuals and nonprofits. Razoo is also the leader in Community Giving Days, which are online fundraising competitions.
